The Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society and the County of Grande Prairie invite you to join us for a workshop about Shelterbelts and Eco-buffers, and how they can be designed to provide ecosystem services to your land!
This workshop includes:
- Designing and establishing Shelterbelts and Eco-Buffers
- How to conduct a tree planting site assessment
- Customizing your design to provide pollinator habitat, fruit production, water quality enhancement, and more!
- Site visit to a local shelterbelt (weather permitting)
Participants will have a chance to develop and design a planting plan using worksheets and other resources provided by AWES
FREE Boxed lunch and refreshments provided , followed by a site visit to a local shelterbelt – please dress for the weather conditions
