AWES provides important services to help Alberta make the most of its forests. By helping us plant trees, reclaim high risk areas, and create educational materials, AWES’ volunteers have a tangible impact on forest conservation. Help us make the world a better place one tree at a time and check our our current available positions:

 

1. Volunteer Project Assistant

Commitment: Casual, as needed

Can’t currently to commit to a continuous volunteer position but still want to help out? Be a volunteer project assistant with AWES! This position has no hourly requirements and is more of a casual hands-on experience. Projects can range from riparian planting to workshops to understory planting, and more. Choose when and how often you volunteer based on your schedule. Reference letters can be provided for casual volunteer positions and no previous experience is necessary. 

 

2. Volunteer Blog Writer

Commitment: Continuous, commitment set by volunteer

Got a knack for writing? Want to combine your writing skills with your love of the environment? Volunteer as a blog writer for AWES! This low-commitment volunteer position consists of writing posts for our website blog on topics ranging from riparian planting to permaculture. Reference letters can be provided for blog writers.
