SUMMARY:Tree Shelterbelt and Eco-buffer Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in enhancing your land’s habitat value for wildlife such as pollinators? Reducing wind-stress on your crops\, livestock\, or farm-site? Trapping snow where you want it to be trapped? Making your land more resilient to flooding and droughts? \nJoin the Agroforestry Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) in conjunction with Northern Lights County and North Peace Applied Research Association (NPARA) at the NPARA Research Farm for a workshop aimed at helping participants understand the purpose and benefits of shelterbelts and Eco-buffers. Participants will leave with the skills required to create their own Eco-Buffer or shelterbelt design\, site prep and plan and customized management plan.
