DESCRIPTION:Alberta is home to many species that produce delicious and nutritious fruits!\nJoin Parkland County and the Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society on June 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 to learn how you can produce\, harvest and process local fruits in a low-tech\, ecologically friendly way! \nAt this workshop you will learn about: \n\nPromising fruit species for Alberta\nDesigning\, establishing\, and maintaining your own “food forest”\nLow-tech strategies for harvesting and processing fruit\n\nYou’ll also have the opportunity to build your own berry sorters\, making processing this year’s berry harvest a breeze! \n  \nCost: $20/registrant or family group \nRSVP by June 25 at Parkland County Center or call (780) 968-8888 \nPlease note: Participants are asked to bring their own drill and bits. (Including a 1/8″ for pilot holes\, along with a Phillips and a #2 Robertson bit)
