DESCRIPTION:What types of shoreline management can help or hurt your lake?  \nJoin Cows and Fish\, the Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society\, and Lac La Biche County on July 11\, 2o19 for a workshop where you’ll learn how to identify and manage for a healthy shoreline. We’ll start at McArthur Place with some short presentations\, and then head to the nearby lakeshore to assess its health and discuss restoration options. Don’t know where to begin\, or just need some helpful tips and tricks?\nJoin the County of Paintearth\, The Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society\, Battle River Research Group and the Battle River Watershed Alliance on July 15th\, 2019 for a workshop about Shelterbelts and Eco-buffers\, and how they can be designed to provide these services to your land! \nThis workshop includes: \n\nA presentation on designing and establishing shelterbelts and Eco-Buffers\nField visit of nearby riparian site to learn how to conduct a tree planting site assessment\nPresentation on customizing your design to provide pollinator habitat\, fruit production\, water quality enhancement\, and more!\n\nThroughout the evening we’ll be helping you develop your own tree planting design using worksheets and other resources provided \n  \nDress for the weather! Please bring rain gear and rubber boots/hikers \nLight super and refreshments will be provided \nThere is no charge for this event\, however registrations are required.
